Is additional care available for working parents?
Yes! We offer extended care as part of our preschool program to allow students to attend a full academic day, plus additional after school care if needed.

What are the age requirements? 
Students must meet the age requirement of the class by August 1st of that year.

Does my child need to be toilet trained? 
Yes. Your child must be toilet trained. We understand that accidents happen and recommend parents leave a clean change of clothes with the school.

How do you help my child transition from home to school? 
Our experienced staff helps children and their families transition to the new routines and opportunities that preschool provides. The Preschool Director and her staff partner with the parents to help make the transition to preschool a success.

What are your arrival and dismissal procedures? 
Queen of Peace staff greet families at their car each morning in the drop-off line and escort your child inside the school building.  Children are brought out to parents in the pickup line at the end of the day.

How do you assess my child's progress? 
There are no specific tests given to enter preschool. Preschool students receive progress reports on skills.
In addition, an annual parent conference is scheduled to discuss student progress and engagement. Readiness assessments are given to students in the spring before kindergarten.

What is the teacher-to-student ratio? 
The preschool maximum class size is 18. The class is directed by a full-time preschool teacher and a preschool teacher aide.
The 3-year-old class is 10 students to one full-time preschool teacher. 

Is the school accredited? 
Queen of Peace Catholic School is accredited by AdvancED.

What are the discipline policies? 
Social and behavioral issues are first addressed by the preschool teacher using guidelines published in our student handbook. Additional concerns are addressed by the school principal.

Is tuition assistance available?
Tuition assistance is available for eligible families to help offset
PK – 8th grade tuition.  Flexible payment options are available for all tuition plans.
