Melissa Rosswurm, President
Melissa is happily married to Paul Rosswurm, her high school sweetheart of 20 years, and they are blessed with four children. Evan is a sophomore at Purdue University, Renee is a junior at Marian High School, Claire is a freshman at Marian, and Lucas is the lone Rosswurm in 6th grade at Queen of Peace School. She is a licensed agent with HealthMarkets Insurance Agency and enjoys assisting clients with Health, Medicare, and Life insurance needs. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, beach trips, hiking with family, winery trips with friends, and supporting her alma mater at football/basketball games. The Rosswurm family joined Queen of Peace Parish in 2010. In recent years, Melissa served as Elizabeth Ministry chair, HASA vice president and president, Vacation Bible School volunteer, Pastoral Council president, Lector, Eucharistic Minister, Christ Renews His Parish/Welcome team member, and most recently, volunteer accompanist. Melissa is a proud alum of the Purdue University “All-American” Marching Band, marching in four college bowl games and the 2001 Rose Bowl Parade.
Norm Burggraf, Vice President
Norm has been married to Jeanne for 41 years and counting. They have three children and eight grandchildren. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and Valparaiso law school, and has been a practicing attorney for 27 years. He is the owner of Burggraf Law Office, P.C. in Elkhart. Norm made his First Communion at Queen of Peace in 1966, and after several moves, he and Jeanne ended up back here about 16 years ago. Norm is a past Grand Knight and current member of the Queen of Peace council of the Knights of Columbus. He worked on the Pentecost Project for five year planning under Father Dan, and on the committee which formulated the Strategic Plan for the parish. Norm has been an at-large member of the Pastoral Council for several years, a Lector, and involved in the school in a number of ways, most recently teaching middle-school history for the spring semester of the 2021-2022 school year. Norm and Jeanne’s granddaughter, Andrea Murphy, graduated from Queen of Peace last year and is now a freshman at Marian. Norm’s primary interest as a school board member is to work to ensure that our school lives up to our new parish mission statement which states that we are an “authentic, Catholic community.”
Mike Dabler, Secretary
Mike and his wife Colleen have been married for 19 years. He is employed as an IT premedia manager for a commercial printing facility in Elkhart at Lithotone Inc. for 28 years. He and Colleen are the proud parents of four wonderful children. Jack and Katharine are attending Marian high school this year and Elizabeth and Josephina are students at Queen of Peace. The Dablers have been parishioners since 2003 and love their Queen of Peace community. Mike has been a member of several Christ Renews His Parish teams including the Mission team to Saint Jude's. He enjoys coaching and assistant coaching the children’s sports teams. Mike looks forward to helping on the school board and wherever he is needed for the 2022-2023 school year. A fun fact about his family is that his wife Colleen is an amazing athlete and has run 16 marathons and counting, impressively qualifying for the Boston Marathon each time.
Michelle Wagner, Member At-Large
Michelle has been married to her husband John for 13 years. Together they live on the farm John was raised on with their two children Luke and Margot. Luke is in 6th grade and Margot is in 4th grade- both are at Queen of Peace school. Michelle graduated from Michigan State University for both undergrad and Medical School. She bleeds green! She has been a Family Practice Physician for 32 years. She enjoys hiking, biking and camping with her family. She loves adventure and has zip lined through the jungle of Tikal,gone sea kayaking with killer whales and white water rafting through the Grand Canyon. An African Safari is on her bucket list, not so much John’s! She has been a parishioner since she married John in 2009. She helped with selling scrip after mass and was in Elizabeth Ministry.
Esther Bradley, Member At-Large
Esther Bradley and her husband Eldon joined Queen of Peace Parish in 1999 when their three year old son Ryne started preschool. She has been retired for 5 years from the USPS where she was a letter carrier for 31+ years. Her son Ryne, now 26 years old, is serving with the 101st Airborne Division and currently stationed in Europe. His seven year old daughter Rose is a 2nd grader at Queen of Peace School. Esther is currently a member of the choir and Jubilee Society and also serves as an Extraordinary Minister and Lector. This past spring, she volunteered to cook for the senior luncheon and has already been invited back to try out her culinary skills in the fall. Esther and her husband recently helped with Trivia Night at Peacefest, where Eldon was a smashing success as the Emcee. They will also be hosting the upcoming S.A.L.T. date night in the gym this November. Esther is happy to be an At-Large member of the School Board and is coordinating with Michelle Wagner to introduce Community Night to the school and parish. They are hoping to bring both of the groups together on a monthly basis where people can make new friendships and strengthen ties between the church and school communities. Esther is a 2001 Catholic convert from St. Pius who attended there when our very own Father Dan was just a Deacon.
Kimberly Obringer, School Principal
Kim Obringer is the new principal at Queen of Peace Catholic School. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, Coastal Carolina College, and will be attending Ball State University this year to obtain her Master’s in Administration. She has been happily married to Tony for 27 years. They have two children, Alex and Matthew. Alex will be graduating from IUSB this winter with a degree in Journalism and Matthew is a Junior, working on an Accounting degree at IUSB. Kim has been teaching at Queen of Peace Catholic School for 18 years and 5 years in South Bend Community Schools. She taught fourth grade for 17 years and last year she taught second grade. Her family joined Queen of Peace Parish in 2004 and she is a Eucharistic Minister. Kim was part of Christ Renews His Parish Team 1 and was the Co-Spiritual for Team 2. She has attended and helped out at all of the Peacefest activities and is looking forward to this year's event. Kim loves to read in her spare time and loves to drink coffee. She is a huge Chicago Cubs fan and watching the 2016 World Series with her son, Matthew, is one of her favorite memories. Go Cubs Go!
Eric Bradley, HASA Vice President
Eric and wife Courtney have been married for 22 years. They have three children and live in the Jimtown area of Elkhart County. One Son, Ashton age 22 is a graduate of Penn High School and is currently attending IUSB. He also works as a Chef at Bonefish Grill. They have two daughters who joined Queen of Peace school this year. Kendall (8th Grade) and Aubrey (6th Grade). Eric attended Indiana University in Bloomington. He has spent his career in the chemical and adhesives industry and works as a Geographic Sales Manager for H.B. Fuller, managing sales for North America in the Engineering Adhesives markets. The Bradley family joined Queen of Peace in 2022. Eric serves the School board as HASA VP, He also serves on the marketing committee. His interests include his children’s athletics, woodworking, and several other hobbies.
