Melissa Rosswurm, President Melissa is happily married to Paul Rosswurm, her high school sweetheart of 19 years, and they are blessed with four children. Evan is a freshman at Purdue University, Renee is a sophomore at Marian High School, Claire is in 8th grade, and Lucas is a 5th grader, both attend Queen of Peace School. She is a licensed independent agent with HealthMarkets Insurance Agency and enjoys assisting clients with health, Medicare, and life insurance needs. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, beach trips, hiking with family, winery trips with friends, and supporting her alma mater at football/basketball games. The Rosswurm family joined Queen of Peace Parish in 2010. In recent years, Melissa served as Elizabeth Ministry chair, HASA vice president and president, Vacation Bible School volunteer, Pastoral Council president, Lector, Eucharistic Minister, Christ Renews His Parish/Welcome team member, and most recently, volunteer accompanist. Melissa is a proud alum of the Purdue University “All-American” Marching Band, marching in four college bowl games and the 2001 Rose Bowl Parade. Boiler Up! Norm Burggraf, Vice President Norm has been married to Jeanne for 40 years and counting. They have three children and eight grandchildren. He is an attorney-at-law in his own firm, Burggraf Law Office, P.C. in Elkhart. He has been practicing for the past 26 years because, as everyone knows, “Practice makes perfect.” Norm made his First Communion at Queen of Peace in 1966. He has floated in and out of the church and from parish to parish since then, but they have been active members of Queen of Peace for at least the past 15 years. Norm is a past Grand Knight of the Queen of Peace council of the Knights of Columbs and held several other officer positions in that organization. He was a member of the Pentecost Project for five-year planning under Father Dan, and also worked to formulate the Strategic Plan for the parish. Norm has been an at-large member of the Pastoral Council for several years, a Lector, and involved in the school in a number of ways. He was once designated the unofficial morning Mass choir master by Father John. Norm and Jeanne have one granddaughter at Queen of Peace, Andrea Murphy, who is now in 8th grade. Norm’s first grade teacher told his mother that “Norm finds things funny that nobody else does.” That is still very true, for better or for worse. Mike Dabler, Secretary Mike has been married for 18 years to Colleen Dabler. He is employed as digital prepress technician manager for a commercial printing facility in Elkhart at Lithotone Inc. for 27 years. He and Colleen are the proud parents of four wonderful children. The Dablers have been parishioners since 2003 and love their Queen of Peace community. Mike has been a member of several Christ Renews His Parish teams including the Mission team to Saint Jude's. He enjoys coaching and assistant coaching the children’s sports teams. Mike looks forward to helping on the school board and wherever he is needed for the 2021-2022 school year. Their oldest, Jack, is 15 and graduated Queen of Peace in 2019. Jack is currently a sophomore at Marian High School. Mike and Colleen’s three daughters attend Queen of Peace School. Katharine is in 8th grade, Elizabeth is in 6th grade, and Josephina is in 2nd grade. A fun fact about his family is that his wife Colleen is an amazing athlete and has run 15 marathons and counting, impressively qualifying for the Boston Marathon each time! Tim Neese, Athletic Director Tim resides in Elkhart and is single. He has three adult children and five grandchildren. He retired from the recycling business after several years. Tim is a former Indiana State Representative and Mayor of Elkhart. He also invests in house flipping projects. He is new to the Queen of Peace School community. His hobbies include daily workouts, watching HGTV, painting, landscaping and working outside. Ann Fedore, HASA Vice President Ann has been married to her husband for 13 yrs. They have two children Peyton 13 and Ian 9. Ann works at Culligan as a Customer Service Representative. She attended Queen of Peace as a child and returned to this church 14 years ago. She has done Welcome Ministry on the church side, as well as served as Secretary on the HASA board, and is currently Vice President of HASA. She has 2 children at Queen of Peace Peyton is in 8th grade and Ian is in 4th. The family enjoys bowling,and every member is in a bowling league. Agata Bereza, Member At-Large Agata was born and raised in Krakow (Poland) where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Education with a minor in Social and School Counseling. She has been married to her husband, Konrad, for 17 years and they have two children together (Kuba, 13 and Ola, 7). In 2006, they relocated from Chicago to Mishawaka, moved to Poland in 2013 and have since returned to and reside in Mishawaka. Agata is currently in the process of resuming her career in education after taking a break to care for her children. The Bereza family has been with Queen of Peace since 2012 and both of Agata’s children attend Queen of Peace School. Jakub (Kuba) will be a 7th grader and Aleksandra (Ola) will be in 2nd grade. The Bereza family is bilingual and holds dual citizenship in the USA and Poland. Their love of travel, desire to learn about other cultures, and enjoyment of various cuisines stems from their deep appreciation for cultural diversity. Emily Sims, Member At-Large: Emily is the proud mom of two girls, Mary and Maggie and wife to Alec. She works full time as the Chief Engagement Officer at the Center for the Homeless for ten years. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family in Michigan and serving as a board member for Girls On the Run Michiana. The Sims family joined Queen of Peace when we moved to the area from Chicago in 2013. As a recent HASA president and vice president, Emily served on the school board and Parish Council. Emily has two daughters at Queen of Peace: Mary, grade 6 and Margaret (Maggie), grade 3. During the summer, Emily is the race director for Urban Adventure Games and she loves to line dance!
